The American automotive giant Ford has released a set of new images for its high performance supercar namely the 2017 Ford GT. This car features light weight composite structure, next generation twin turbocharged Ecoboost V6 engine, height adjustable rear spoiler and an aircraft fuselage inspired tear-drop shaped body design. Probably in late 2016, this car will go into production and will hit the road in first quarter of 2017 in selected global markets.
Out of the 12 new Performance Vehicles from Ford that the company is planning to release by 2020, the 2017 Ford GT will join the existing line-up of Shelby GT350R, F-150 Raptor and Focus RS. The advanced light weight structure of this vehicle has contributed to its improved performance, acceleration, handling capabilities, braking, safety and efficiency. This car has its legacy from the classic Ford racing cars featuring state of the art chassis design which is again supported by an adjustable ride height pushrod suspension and racing style torsion bar. This car also gets a 20 inch Multi-spoke wheels shod inside the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires
The interiors are easily accessible through the upward-swinging doors. There’s an F1-style steering wheel with all necessary driver controls and fully digital and configurable instrument cluster to display vital driver focused data. The mid-mounted 600hp 3.5L EcoBoost V6 is paired with a seven speed dual-clutch rear wheel drive transmission system.
The bad part of this car is that only 250 Ford GT 2017 models are expected to be manufactured per year, with each unit costing around at least USD 400,000 on the road.
